Personal Emergency Response Program
Meals on Wheels of RI, Inc. offers the Emergency Response Program to our clients and the general public.
There are approximately 600 people currently using this state-of-the-art life saving device. The two-way voice interactive communicator connects clients to a support center through their telephone line. This unit allows people to call for help 24 hours a day with the touch of a waterproof button that can be worn either on the wrist or around the neck.
The cost of the unit is $39 for installation and $39 for monthly monitoring. Individuals receiving Medicaid maybe eligible for a reduced rate through the waver program. For further information, please contact Kathy Audette at 351-6700 x142.
