Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island celebrated the opening of a new Capital City Café Program site at Aaron Briggs Manor in Providence on Monday, Nov. 5.
Our Capital City Café Program allows more mobile seniors the chance to enjoy a nutritious, hot meal in a socialized setting in community sites in the greater Providence area. All meals meet one-third of the dietary reference intake for seniors and are approved by a registered dietician.
Meals will be served at Aaron Briggs Manor on Mondays and Fridays at 11:30 a.m.
The program is open to anyone aged 60 or older and to those under the age of 60 who are living with disabilities or receive general public assistance, and transportation is available.
