A generous $20,000 donation by Centreville Bank enabled Meals on Wheels of Rhode
Island to continue to deliver shelf-stable meals to 1,350 Rhode Islanders. This donation
ensures clients have nutritious meals if inclement weather or other emergencies prevent
meal deliveries.
Each package contained five non-perishable complete meals, prepackaged and
consisting of dried milk packets, canned goods, soup, cookies and other items that do
not require refrigeration.
“With winter upon us, we are extremely grateful to Centreville Bank for allowing this
vital program to continue,” said Heather Amaral, Meals on Wheels Executive Director.
