With the summer months finally coming upon us, Meals on Wheels of RI staff joined together to spruce-up our lovely Mabel T. Woolley garden for the upcoming season. Our staff planted petunias, marigolds, and pansies. We can’t wait for all the beautiful flowers to grow out and add some much needed color after so many cold months.

The plaque pictured below, which adorns the wall of the garden, was made in honor of Ms. Woolley in 1998. It reads:

You have brightened up the day with kindness that you’ve shown. Kindness, like a flower, has a beauty all its own.”

Thank you to our staff members who pitched in and rolled-up their sleeves.
