Mission Statement

In conjunction with services currently provided by the aging network, Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island will fulfill the wishes of seniors, which, if granted, will brighten their lives.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Must be 50 years of age or older
  2. Must be a resident of RI
  3. Must qualify for the program based on the completed application

Procedures

  1. Meals on Wheels (MOW) receives the wish.
  2. MOW staff will complete the application for the request.
  3. A committee member or their designee will evaluate the wish and make a recommendation to the committee.
  4. The committee’s decision will be based on a majority vote.
  5. The applicant will be notified in writing of the approval or denial of their request.

Committee

The committee will consist of the Meals on Wheels of RI President & CEO, Operations Director, Clinical Director, Case Management Representative, and Development & Public Relations Coordinator as well as representatives from community partners from within the Rhode Island aging network.

The Committee will meet on the third Wednesday of each month.
