Congressman Jim Langevin demonstrated his commitment to our RI seniors today, by delivering a meal to Mr. “Whip” Crossman as part of the annual March for Meals Senior Hunger Awareness Campaign.
“In today’s political climate, community support programs like Meals on Wheels are often reduced to statistics and talking points. But the beneficiaries of this program are real people in need of a little help, and we can’t lose sight of their stories. I always look forward to the March for Meals campaign, so I can connect with my constituents and let them know that I will continue to fight to ensure they have the support and resources they need,” said Congressman Jim Langevin.
Mr. Crossman was so excited to meet the Congressman, and expressed his gratitude for Meals on Wheels of RI.  “You are one of the greatest organizations in the state … and the best thing that ever happened to me,”
