Across Rhode Island, there are thousands of seniors living behind closed doors, rarely able to get out and seldom visited. Loneliness and isolation are a part of their daily life. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Thanks to the kindness of our donors, we are able to provide a daily nutritious meal and safety check to thousands of homebound, lonely seniors.
Along with that meal, our donors also give dignity and hope for the future to those for whom our services are a lifeline. They give our seniors contact with a friendly volunteer, who in many cases is the only person they will see all day.
Our donors tell these seniors, “No matter how tough it’s been lately, someone cares about you and has given from the heart to help.”
To those who give so generously to make all this possible, thank you.
If you have not given to Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island yet this year, we hope you’ll consider doing so now, during our year-end appeal. With your gift, we will be able to provide for even more RI seniors in need.
Donations may be made online or mailed to 70 Bath St., Providence, RI 02908. Many of our donors prefer to give monthly, and recurring donations in any amount can be set up by calling the Development Department at 401.351.6700.
This holiday season, we know there are many worthy and important causes to which you could give, and we would be honored to be entrusted with your charitable dollars.
On behalf of our seniors, Thank You!
